This notice explains for which purposes and on which legal grounds Move Metal Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi ("Move Metal" or the "Company"), as data controller, processes the personal data of website visitors, customers, suppliers and business partners, to whom it transfers such data, and the rights of data subjects.

02Personal data processed

When you contact us through our website, by e-mail, telephone or WhatsApp, the following data may be processed:

Identity and contact data: name, surname, company name, title, e-mail address, telephone number, country
Request content: material requirement, technical specification, dimensions, quantity, delivery and certification expectations, message text
Files submitted with forms: drawings, specifications, RFQ files, scrap photographs and the information they contain
For scrap evaluation requests: material type, quantity, location, analysis documents
Transaction security data: form submission time, submitting page, IP address (in server logs, short term)

03Purposes of processing

Receiving, technically evaluating and quoting requests for quotation (RFQ)
Reviewing industrial scrap evaluation requests and making commercial offers
Responding to contact requests and providing technical support
Executing contract, order, shipment and invoicing processes
Fulfilling legal obligations (commercial books and records, tax, foreign trade)
Ensuring website security and preventing misuse

04Legal grounds

Your personal data is processed under Article 5 of the KVKK on the following legal grounds:

Being directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (Art. 5/2-c): quotation, order and supply processes
Fulfilment of the data controller's legal obligations (Art. 5/2-ç): commercial and tax record-keeping
Establishment, exercise or protection of a right (Art. 5/2-e)
Legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not harmed (Art. 5/2-f): responding to contact requests, site security
Explicit consent (Art. 5/1): only where none of the above grounds apply, and for transfers abroad

05Method of collection

Your personal data is collected through the Request a Quote, Sell Your Scrap and Contact forms on our website, by e-mail, telephone, WhatsApp and in person, by automatic or partly automatic means. Apart from the forms, our website does not use cookies or tracking tools that collect personal data.

06Transfer of personal data

Limited to the purposes above and to the extent necessary, your personal data may be transferred to:

Manufacturers and suppliers, logistics companies, laboratories and heat treatment partners involved in preparing a quotation (only the technical and commercial information required by the request)
Legally authorised public institutions and judicial authorities (upon request)
Service providers such as accountants and legal advisers
Transfer abroad: our e-mail infrastructure (Google Workspace) and website hosting / form delivery infrastructure (Cloudflare) use servers located outside Türkiye. Data submitted through the forms is processed via these infrastructures. Such transfers are carried out on the basis of the data subject's explicit consent and/or the appropriate safeguards provided for by the Personal Data Protection Board under Article 9 of the KVKK.

07Retention periods

Quotation and contact requests not resulting in a contract: 2 years from the date of the request
Requests resulting in a contract and commercial records: 10 years as required by law (Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102, Tax Procedure Law No. 213)
Form submission and security logs: at most 1 year
At the end of the period, data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised

To learn whether your personal data is processed
To request information if it has been processed
To learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used in accordance with that purpose
To know the third parties to whom data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad
To request correction if data is incomplete or inaccurate
To request deletion or destruction within the framework of Article 7 of the KVKK
To request that correction, deletion and destruction be notified to third parties to whom data has been transferred
To object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems
To claim compensation for damage suffered due to unlawful processing

How to apply

You may submit requests regarding your rights, together with documents verifying your identity, by e-mail to [email protected] or in writing to our registered address, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. Applications are concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest; where the procedure incurs an additional cost, the fee set by the Board may apply.
